Chag Hanukkah sameach, everyone!
We extend our warmest greetings to you as we approach the celebration of Hanukkah! This year, Christmas and the start of Hanukkah happened on the same day. It’s pretty rare!
Hanukkah is a festival of light and renewal, a reminder of God's faithfulness and the miracles He performs for His people. We remember how, during difficult times, the Temple in Jerusalem was cleansed and rededicated, and how a small jar of oil burned for eight days, even though it was only enough for one.
Although Hanukkah is not mentioned in the Torah (Old Testament), we know that Yeshua celebrated this holiday and it was a part of His life:
"Then came the Festival of Dedication at Jerusalem. It was winter, and Jesus was in the temple courts walking in Solomon’s Colonnade."
John 10:22-23
It is not only a historical event but also a spiritual reminder of the temple within our hearts, which is sanctified by the light of the Holy Spirit once and for all.
This holiday also reflects the deeper reality of how God cleanses and renews us through His Spirit. God gives the Spirit without measure, and this divine light burns eternally, dispelling all darkness. As we celebrate, we are reminded of the great light of the Messiah, who dwells within us, continually renewing and sanctifying us as His holy temple.
"for He gives the Spirit without measure"
John 3:34
Hanukkah also reminds us of the importance of steadfast faith, trust in God, and the readiness to be His light in this world. As we do God's work, even when resources seem scarce, we can walk by faith and witness His faithfulness, blessing, and provision. May the light of your hearts and your faith shine brightly, bringing hope and love to those around you.
We are grateful for your partnership, prayers, and support. May this holiday bring joy, peace, and abundant blessings to you and your family.
